For foreign companies (non-resident without a permanent establishment) that want to establish their business in Portugal, the following documents from the country of origin are required:

• Power of Attorney

• Articles of Association

• Certificate of Incorporation

Armed with this information, JNB can proceed the registration on the local authorities (RNPC) and then start activity in the Tax Office.

For non-residents with the intent to open activity in Portugal the following documents are required:

• A Tax Number: non-EU citizen need to appoint a tax representative in Portugal

• A Social Security Number register at the Social Security Office
